April 12th Meeting:
Meetings will be held on Mondays at 12pm in VEC 110. Our next meeting will be Monday, April 12th. We will discuss campus events and end of the year fundraising and event ideas, and announce next semester's officers. We look forward to hearing your opinion and ideas for our event. 

Eta Kappa Nu "Schematics" Event: April 14

Every year, CSULB Eta Kappa Nu brings useful information to the students of the College Of Engineering at our Schematics presentation series. This year, see speakers from Boeing, Raytheon, and CSULB give information and offer advice on how to find a job or internship in a bad economy.

Volunteering for MAES Science Extravaganza 2010 April 16th
The Mexican American Engineers and Scientists are holding there annual outreach event, Science Extravaganza on April 16th from 7:30am to 2:30pm in the VEC Quad. SWE has been invited to host a Sun Art workshop and we need volunteers. e-LIFE Vegas Bingo Night: April 16th
Join the Freshmen for a fun bingo night on Friday, April 16, 2010 starting at 6:00pm. Food and prizes will be provided. Support the program, which gives them the skills to lead our organizations prepare themselves for great careers. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased from any member of e-LIFE or in the AESB office (EN4-122).

SWE-OC Professional Development Conference  April 24, 2010

SWE-OC is hosting it's PDC April 24th at the Boeing theater in Huntington Beach. The conference is a day-long event filled with presentations and exciting networking opportunities for engineers and non-engineers of all levels. Whether you are a new graduate learning the ropes, or an experienced professional who would like to brush up on timeless skills, this conference is perfect for you. Our Spring Welcome Back to the Beach Network Dinner, previously scheduled for April 23rd, has been postponed to the fall semester.

Stress Out Day Monday, April 19, 2010; 12:00pm - 2:00pm 

Active Minds presents National Stress Day. Come de-stress before finals. Enjoy fun activities, freebies, snacks, massages, bubbles, music, raffles and much more near Outpost Restaurant on campus. Learn more about mental health awareness, there will be also be resources. Bring yourself and friends!

Relay for Life: April 23rd-24th

CSULB Engineers without Borders and ASCE have joined together to form a team for Relay for Life, a fundraising event that brings people together to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and to fight back against the disease. The event takes place at the CSULB track and occurs over a 24 hour period from April 23rd to 24th. If you would like to participate and join the team go to

Previous Announcements

Counseling
Counseling is offered by the counselor for the College of Engineering in order to help students succeed throughout the semester. Appointments for a session to be held in the side room of the SWE office can be made. The sessions can be used to talk out a problem or just to relieve anxiety. To set up an appointment, email tngo2@csulb.edu with your name, email address, and three possible days and three possible times for a session. Appointments must be made a week in advance.
 
Committee Meetings 
Involvement committee meetings will held in ENG2-102 on Thursdays at 2:00pm and Outreach committee meetings will be held Wednesdays at 12:30. The involvement committee will help plan events such as the SWE Homecoming Network Dinner and the outreach committee will help plan events such as Women Engineers at the Beach Day.
