SWE Membership and Conference Registration Workshop 101

Need help in registering for SWE membership ( and/or SWE National Conference ( early bird registration deadline - Sept 27th)? Come by our Workshop 101 hosted by SWE Officers!

When: Wednesday Sept. 24, 2014 12pm-1pm

Where: EN2-107

SWE & NSBE Bowling Mixer

Come out and have some fun with your fellow SWE-NSBE members this Friday, Sept 26th at USU Bowling Alley from 4-6pm. This is a great opportunity to network with SWE and NSBE!

SWE Membership

By being a SWE member you will continue to receive the SWE-ekly and priority for all SWE opportunities. Deadline to become a SWE national member is October 1, 2014.

National Membership

Go to, scroll over the MEMBERSHIP tab and click "Join"

  1. A login page appears scroll down and click Become a Member (Non-member)

  2. Enter your email and name click next

  3. Create profile with California State University, Long Beach of as your University or College 1

  4. Click Save My Profile once all required boxes (*) are filled in

  5. Choose one of the following options:

  • New Collegiate Membership in SWE: $20 (1 year membership)

  • Collegiate to Career Membership in SWE: $50 (Entire collegiate career membership!)

  • Click "Continue" and select "Chapter B061 - California,State University, Long Beach"

  • Click "Continue" and pay fee using your credit card

SWE OC Ice Cream Social


What: SWE-OC Ice Cream Social

When:October 9th (Thursday) at 6:30pm

Where: Santa Ana residence (major cross streets: Memory Lane & Bristol) - exact address will be provided to confirmed attendees

Who: SWE collegiate members, professional members, and friends

Cost: Free

Women Engineers @ The Beach

Women Engineers @ the Beach Day will be taking place on October 10, 2014 from 7:30 am to- 3:00pm. If you would like the opportunity to make a difference in young girls by inspiring them to pursue a degree in the engineering sign up below.

SWE National Conference

The SWE National Conference, "A Global Exchange for Change" will take place on October 23 - 25, 2014 in Los Angeles, CA. Please purchase your early bird registration before it's too by September 27, 2014 for $90.00.

** Once registered you will have the opportunity to claim a spot in the hotel rooms SWE will be paying for. Please print and sign the Hotel Reservation Contract and scan it back to and make sure to include your confirmation code for conference.

***Hotel rooms space is limited so sign up before its too late!!!!!

After College Engineering Student Internship

$500- Open to currently enrolled students working toward a degree in any field of engineering. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

STEM Inclusion Scholarship

$1,000- Open to currently enrolled students working toward a degree in a field of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics from a group underrepresented in their field of study. Minimum 3.0 GPA.
