Women Engineers @ The Beach

SWE’s annual outreach event, Women Engineers @ The Beach will be Friday October 10th and hope you can be part of it!

This event gathers more than 200 female high school students that are interested in the STEM field. They will have the chance to be exposed to the various engineering fields that CSULB has to offer. There will be various workshops taking place and hosted by faculty, staff, and students.

With that being said, are YOU interested in being involved? Here is your chance to volunteer and be a mentor and leader for a day and at the same time have fun! (Great event to put down on your resume.)

The SWE National Conference, "A Global Exchange for Change" will take place on October 23 - 25, 2014 in Los Angeles, CA. Please purchase your early bird registration before it's too by September 27, 2014 for $90.00.

The Intelligence Community will be having  their 2nd annual IC Virtual Info Session on Tuesday, September 23rd, and would like to invite your Society of Women Engineers students and members to attend. United Launch Alliance Summer Internship

United Launch Alliance (ULA), the premier rocket launch company for both private and government sector satellites is looking for ways to increase diversity and strengthen their company and is inviting CSULB’s SWE Chapter to apply for their 2015 Summer Internship.

Occidental Petroluem Coporation is looking for students who are mobile and interested in a summer internship engineering assignment in California. Summer intern engineering positions will be available in Long Beach, California; Bakersfield, California and other various California locations.

*Required Qualifications:

Qualified non-graduating students seeking for a summer internship with a GPA of 3.0 or highermajoring in Environmental, Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering.

OC Waste & Recycling Internship

*Educational Requirements:

The internship is best suited for college students or recent graduates who have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies or achieved an associate’s degree preferably in chemistry, physics, biology, environmental science or engineering (civil, environmental, solid waste).

*Application Process:
