One of our goals is to promote engineering and one of the biggest ways we achieve this goal is through many outreach programs. Outreach events show pre-college students the basics of engineering and the benefits of SWE. Events are held on campus or thought the local community.  Each year we participate and host outreach event.

Women Engineers at the Beach Day

Women Engineers @ the Beach Day (WE@BD) and Engineering Girls @ the Beach Day (EG@BD) are CSULB SWE's biggest events of the year. Partnered with the CSULB College of Engineering Recruitment and Retention Center, each of these events draw 250 girls to CSULB for a fun filled Friday of exposure to everything engineering.  Featuring a female key note speaker from industry, workshops, and hands on activities, these events are some of the highlights of our section.
