Meet our Webmaster, Ân Tạ!

Ân Tạ transferred from El Camino College, Torrance to California State University, Long Beach in Fall 2019 as a Computer Science major. As an international student, Ân speaks 4 languages and worked for ECC International Student Program as a Student Assistant in providing current and incoming international students with navigation for college life in the United States. Ms. Tạ is currently working for the College of Engineering as an EXCEL Peer Mentor.

In Spring 2020, she found her way back to SWE through the SWE-et Committee program in which she shadowed the role of Outreach Chair. She is now the club's Webmaster, overseeing and maintaining its online presence through different social media outlets.

Ân enjoys feeling productive, if she is not doing work on her computer, she is probably somewhere cleaning away.

Why did you pick your major?

"My major picked me!"

What is your favorite course?

"Everything. Do you really like it if you are not enjoying it?"

Why are you in SWE?

"Give back, most definitely. Inspire young girls, college-to-be to explore engineering or have a knowledge about it."

Advice for women in STEM:

"Fake it til you make it!"
