Meet our Historian, Jainee Shah!
Why did you pick your major?
"I have always liked math and had fascination to do something in the field of technology. Believe it or not, I hated my first computer history class in 9th grade of high school. I gave another try in 10th grade and been loving it so far! In current world, all fields will somehow need software engineers/ computer scientists as we are transforming to technical world."
What is your favorite course?
"CECS 328, Data Structures and Algorithms - I have learned many new concepts from this course!"
What are you doing after you graduate?
"After I graduate, I definitely want to give it back to my community by offering mentoring and technical advice. I am hoping to use my skills to create seamless products and software with the ability to affect and better the lives of people everywhere. "
Advice for women in STEM:
"Don’t be afraid to try new things! Network with more people! Don’t let anything hold you back from pursuing your dreams! You will get it if you have worked hard enough :) "
